Abstract

Bu araştırmada bedenimizin dışa yönelen organı "göz"ün önemi, Nuri İyem'in resimleri örnekleminde tartışılmakdır. Nuri İyem 1915-2005 yılları arasında yaşamış Cumhuriyet Dönemi Türk Resmi'nin önemli sanatçılarından biridir. Ressamın kadın portreleri içeren üç resmi ve kendi otoportresi eser analizi yöntemi ile değerlendirilmiş; sanatçının toplumcu gerçekçi çizgisini yansıttığı gözlerle ilgili mecazlara açıklık getirilmeye çalışılmıştır, İyem'in kadınlarında beden örtülüdür gelenekler gereği.
