Antik Yunan'da toplumsal cinsiyet rollerinin temsili

Abstract

Bu çalışma, günümüzde pek çok alanda kendini hissettiren kadın-erkek cinsiyetlerinin toplumda oluşturduğu algı sorunsalı- nın temellerine ışık tutmak amacıyla yazılmıştır. Bahsi geçen sorunsalın temelleri, kadınların toplumsal yaşamda yok sayıldı- ğı, baskı altında tutulduğu ve ataerkil bir toplum oluşumunu destekleyen fikirlerin ortaya atıldığı Antik Dönem Yunanistan'da aranmıştır. Dönem boyunca üretilen edebi, felsefi ve sanatsal çalışmaların, cinsiyetler arasındaki farkın vurgulanması ve top- luma kabul ettirilmesi açısından önemli bir araç niteliğine sahip olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu düşünceden hareketle dönemin toplumsal yapısı, üretilen sanatsal, edebi ve felsefi eserler incelenmiş ve toplumdaki kadın-erkek olgularının nasıl algılandığı, şekillendirildiği ve yansıtıldığı, nedenleriyle birlikte analiz edilmeye çalışılmıştır. This paper aims to focus on the perception of gender roles and its problematical issues emerged in society. The mentio- ned problematical issues have been investigated in Ancient Greece, where women were ignored and held under pressure with ideas supported the occurrence of patriarchal society. It is thought that the philosophical, literal and artistic works of this period were used as a tool not only to emphasize the differences between genders, but also to make the society to believe this order. From this point of view, the social structure of the mentioned era is examined through the use of artworks, philosophic and literary studies to analyze the perception, structure and reflections of gender roles in addition to their reasons.
