1950'den günümüze cam heykel sanatı

Abstract

"1950'den Günümüze Cam Heykel Sanatı" hakkındaki bu çalışmada, camın tarihsel süreç içerisindeki gelişiminden, camı şekillendirme tekniklerine, camın heykel malzemesi olarak nasıl kullanılmaya başlandığı ve bunu kullanan Türk, yabancı cam sanatçıları incelenmektedir. Endüstri Devrimi ile birlikte teknolojide yaşanan büyük değişim, her alanda olduğu gibi camda da kendini göstermiştir. Cam malzemesi, sadece kullanım amaçlı değerlendirilirken, Art Nouveau'nun ortaya çıkışıyla camın sanat malzemesi olarak görülmeye başlanmasının temelleri atılmıştır. Stüdyo Cam Hareketi'nin kendini göstermesi ile de cam, artık heykel sanatında yerini almıştır. Üç bölümden meydana gelen tezin "Camın Tanımı ve Tarihçesi" isimli ilk bölümünde, camın bulunuşundan günümüze gelişimi, Türkiye'de ve dünyada, cam sanatının hangi noktada olduğu açıklanmaktadır. Cam malzemesinin, sıcak ve soğuk haldeyken, nasıl biçimlendirilerek sanat malzemesine dönüştürüldüğü teknik açıdan ele alınmasıyla başlayan ikinci bölümde, Stüdyo Cam Hareketi'nin, Cam Heykel Sanatı'ndaki etkisi ve buna öncülük edenler, XX. Yüzyılın ikinci yarısından sonra, heykel teriminin anlamının, genişleyerek farklı disiplinlerde yorumlanması ile bunun cam heykel sanatındaki etkileri resimler ile belirtilmektedir. Cam Heykel ve Cam Heykel Sanatçıları adlı son bölümde ise; Dünya ve Türkiye'deki Cam Heykel Sanatçıları ve çalışmalarını hangi teknikler ile oluşturdukları, örnekler ile anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. "This study realised on the "Art of Glass Sculpture from 1950 to Today", historical development of glass, glass moulding techniques, how people started using glass to make sculptures and Turkish and foreign artists using this technique. Great change experienced in technology with the Industrial Revolution has influenced the glass sector, as it had its effects on other areas as well. While glass material was considered as only a material for use, people started seeing it as a material for arts with the emergence of Art Nouveau. With the appearance of Studio Glass Work, glass now made its appearance in the art of sculpture. The first section called "Definition and History of Glass" of this thesis consisting of three sections, the history of developmental stages glass has gone through from the day it was discovered to our day and the status of the art of glass in Turkey and all over the world are explained. The second section, which starts with a technical point of view to how glass is shaped, thus being converted into a piece of art, in its cold and hot forms, the influence of Studio Glass sector on the art of Glass Sculpture and those leading such movement, the expansion of the interpretation of the term sculpture after the second half of XX. century, this being interpreted by different disciplines and the influence thereof on the art of glass sculpture is illustrated. And the last part called Glass Sculptures and Glass Sculptors, Glass Sculptors in Turkey and All Over the World and the techniques they used are introduced by giving examples.
