1960 sonrası Türk tiyatro eleştirisinde ulusal tiyatro tartışmaları

Abstract

Türk Tiyatrosu Tanzimat'tan bugüne kadar Batı etkisiyle yoğrulmuş ve Geleneksel olan ile modern olan arasında seçim yapma zorunluluğuna itilmiştir. Kimi aydınlar, geleneksel değerlerden yararlanıp, şimdi adına Geleneksel Türk Tiyatrosu dediğimiz sanatımıza sahip çıkılması gerekliliğini savunurken, kimi aydınlar, Tanzimat döneminin başlamasıyla beraber, Batı tarzı tiyatro anlayışını benimsemişlerdir. Türk Tiyatrosu bugün bile bu tartışmalar ve bunların yarattığı gerginlikten kurtulamamaktadır. 1960 dönemi ile birlikte, değişen siyasi yapı ve toplum yapısı sanatı da etkilemiş, bir Ulusal Tiyatro kurma çabası ve düşüncesi gündeme gelmiştir. Bu düşünce, tartışmanın kaynağını oluşturan Tanzimat döneminde de kendisini göstermiş ve düşünce alanındaki bu çatışmalar yazın alanında da yer bulmuştur. Cumhuriyet ile birlikte yenilenen ve kabuk değiştiren tiyatro, tüm alanlarında olduğu gibi eleştiri alanında da değişime uğramış, tiyatroda eleştirmen ve tiyatronun işlevi gibi kavramlar, tiyatro terimleri tartışılmaya başlamıştır. Bu çalışmada, tüm bu tarihi süreç içersinde tiyatro eleştirisindeki değişimleri, ulusallaşma sürecini ve ulusal tiyatro kavramını, eleştirmenlerin eleştirilerinden görme fırsatı yakalayacağız. Turkish Theatre, has been influenced by the West since the Tanzimat Reform Era till today and forced to make a choice between the traditional and modern style. Some of the intellectuals suggested it is necessary to make use of traditional values and to protect the art of ?in today?s terms: The Traditional Turkish Theater. On the other hand, the rest of the intellectuals adopted the western style theater ever since the same era. Even today, the Turkish theater is still under the influence of these arguments and the tension of these arguments. By the era `1960?, the new political and social structure influenced the art also, and thoughts and attempts to establish a National Theater was brought to agenda. This kind of conception had also seen at the Tanzimat Reform Era, which was the core of this argument, and these conflicts of ideas reflected also at literature. The renewal with the establishment of Republic, made the theater change its shell. As at all stages, it got changed in manner of criticism also, and the concepts such as the critic, the function of theater etc. has begun to be discussed with specific terms of theater. This study aims to give an oppurtinity to see the alteration within the theater criticism, the nationalization process ant the concept national theater within all this historical course from the critics? point of view.
