Abstract:
Sülfat etkisi çimento harçlarinda genlesmelere ve çatlaklara yol açan baslica problemlerden biridir. Deniz suyunda var olan sülfat ve klorür iyonlari bu problemin sebeplerindendir. Bu çalismada, 5 tip çimento ve 3 farkli su/çimento orani ile üretilen deney örneklerinin islanma-kuruma çevrimli deniz suyunda ve 50000-ppm sodyum sülfat çözeltisinde bekletilmesi sonrasi elde edilen mekanik ve kalicilik özellikleri yer almaktadir. Prizmatik örneklerle eğilme dayanimi, basinç dayanimi, klorür miktari tayini, kilcal yolla su emme ve toplam su emme deneyleri yapilmistir. ASTM C 1012 standardina göre, 50000-ppm sodyum sülfat çözeltisinde bekletilen harç çubuklarinin komparatörle boy değisimleri ölçülmüstür. Silindirik örneklerle klor geçirimlilik deneyi yapilmistir. Yüksek sülfat konsantrasyonunda bekletilen örneklerin mekanik ve kalicilik özelliklerinin standart deney örneklerine göre, genellikle azaldigi görülmüstür. Mineral katki içeren çimentolarla hazirlanan örneklerin Portland çimentosuyla hazirlanan örneklerden her kosulda daha iyi performans gösterdigi görülmüstür. Sulfate attack, which causes expansion and cracking on cement mortars, is one of the major problems. Sulfate and chloride ions in the sea water causes destruction of mortars. In this study, mechanical and durability properties of specimens, which include five types of cements and three different water/cement ratios, were investigated after exposure to seawater and 50000-ppm sodium sulfate solution. Flexural and compressive strength, chloride amount, capillary suction of water, total absorption were determined after exposure by prismatic specimens. Length changes of mortar bars immersed in 50000-ppm sodium sulfate solution were determined according to ASTM C 1012. Chloride-ion penetration tests of cylindrical specimens were done. Durability and mechanical properties of specimens exposed to high sulfate concentration were underdeveloped compared to standard specimens. Specimens, which include mineral additive cement, exhibited better performance than normal portland cement in every conditions.
