An investigation on the contribution of jet grout strutting to thestability of deep retaining systems by finite element method

Abstract

Jet grout kolonlar derin dayanma yapılarının stabilitesine katkı sağlamak, kazı güvenliğini_x000B_arttırmak ve kalıcı yapı oluşturmak amacıyla kullanılmaktadır. Kazı seviyesinin altındaki mevcut_x000B_zeminin yanal direnci zemin özelliklerine bağlı olarak yetersiz kalabilmektedir. Ülkemizde_x000B_inşaatları devam eden metro inşaatlarındaki derin dayanma yapılarında yanal stabiliteyi arttırma_x000B_ihtiyacı güncel bir sorun olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu sorunun ortadan kaldırılması amacıyla_x000B_pahalı çözümler yerine jet grout kolonlarla kazı seviyesinin altında yatay destek sistemleri_x000B_oluşturularak ekonomik çözümler elde edilebilmektedir._x000B_Bu tez kapsamında, jet grout desteklemenin derin dayanma yapısı stabilitesine katkısı sonlu_x000B_elemanlar metodu kullanılarak yapılan analizlerle araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla öncelikle jet grout_x000B_kolonların mühendislik özellikleri araştırılmış ve yapısal kullanım türlerine değinilmiştir._x000B_Analizlerde kullanılacak problemin geometrisini belirlemek amacıyla halen inşaatı devam_x000B_etmekte olan ?İzmir Metrosu Karşıyaka Tünel Projesi? örnek alınmıştır. Jet grout kolon_x000B_mukavemeti özellikleri, iyileştirilmiş zemin alan oranları, paternleri ve yerleşim tipleri_x000B_değiştirilerek analiz kombinasyonları oluşturulmuştur. Analizler kumlu ve killi zemin profilleri_x000B_için ayrı ayrı yapılmıştır. Analizlerde Plaxis 2D ve 3D sonlu elemanlar programları kullanılmıştır._x000B_Analizler sonucunda elde edilen diyafram duvar deplasmanları ve momentleri karşılaştırılmalı_x000B_olarak sunulmuştur. Doğal zemin yüzeyi ve kazı seviyesindeki zemin düşey deplasmanları da tez_x000B_kapsamında sunulmuştur. Jet grouting columns are used to enhance stability of deep retaining systems, to improve safety_x000B_of excavations and to constitute stable structures. Depending on properties, lateral resistance of_x000B_the soil below excavation level can sometimes be insufficient. The need of improvement of the_x000B_lateral stability of deep retaining walls ongoing subway structures is a current problem. In order_x000B_to eliminate this problem economically, horizontal support systems can be formed below the_x000B_level of excavation by the application of jet grout columns._x000B_In this thesis, the contribution of jet grout strutting to the stability of deep retaining system is_x000B_studied by finite elements analyses. For this purpose, engineering properties of jet grout columns_x000B_are investigated and structural uses are mentioned. The geometry of the problem used in the_x000B_analyses has been inspired by İzmir Karşıyaka Subway Tunnel Construction Project._x000B_Combinations of analyses are formed by changing strength characteristics, treated soil area ratios,_x000B_patterns and location types of jet grouted columns. Analyses are made for sandy and clayey soil_x000B_profiles seperately. Plaxis 2D and 3D finite element programs are employed in the analyses. The_x000B_results of analyses in terms of displacements and moments of diaphragm wall are presented_x000B_comparatively. Also vertical soil displacements at both natural ground surface and excavation_x000B_level are presented.
