İlköğretim 7. sınıf geometri konularını dinamik geometri yazılımı geometer`s sketchpad ile öğrenmenin başarıya, kalıcılığa etkisi ve öğrenci görüşleri

Abstract

Bilgisayar teknolojisinin gelismesiyle birlikte, genelde matematik özelde de geometri ögretiminde yeni yaklasımların konu edildigi her ortamda bilgisayar ve bilgisayar destekli ögretimden söz edilmektedir. Geometri ögretiminde adını sıkça duymaya basladıgımız Cabri Geometry ve Geometer's Sketchpad (GSP) gibi dinamik geometri yazılımları, bilgisayar teknolojisinin sınıflardaki gizil güçlü araçlarıdır. Yapılan arastırmalar, geometride ögrencilerin genellikle zorlandıklarını ve bazılarının da basarısız olduklarını ortaya çıkarmıstır. Bunun nedenlerinden biri olarak, görselligin birinci derecede önemli oldugu geometride sınıf uygulamalarının görsellikten uzak olusu gösterilmektedir. Geometri derslerinde yalnızca yazı tahtasıtebesir ve kagıt-kalem-cetvel kullanılarak ögretim yapılmakta ve sınırlı sayıdaki çizimlerle ögrencilerden uzamsal görsellestirme düsüncelerinin gelistirilmesi beklenmektedir. Bu durumun degistirilmesi gerektigi açıktır. Dolayısıyla ögrencilerin geometrik sekilleri ve özelliklerini daha iyi görebilme yetisini gelistirmek için daha çok ortam saglanması gerekir. Bu dogrultuda Geometer's Sketchpad ile olusturulan dinamik geometri ortamları, ögrencilerin geometrik sekilleri hareket ettirerek, biçimlerini degistirerek ve ölçümler yaparak sekillerin özelliklerini kesfedebilecekleri ve iliskilendirebilecekleri ögrenci merkezli ortamlar yaratmaktadır. Nitekim Milli Egitim Bakanlıgı'nın ilkögretim okullarında uygulamaya geçirdigi teknoloji sınıflarındaki imkanlar dogrultusunda uygulama alanları içine giren, dinamik geometri yazılımı Geometer's Sketchpad ile gerçeklestirdigimiz bu çalısmamız bu As computer technology is developing; at every place where new approaches in general math and specifically geometer teaching are the subjects, computers and the computer aided introduction are talked about. Dynamic geometry software such as Cabri Geometry and Geometer's Sketchpad (GSP) which we often started to hear about are concealed powerful devices of computer technology in classrooms. Researches have shown that generally students have problems in geometry and also some of them failed. As one of the reasons for that the techniques and methods' being far away from visualization at classroom applications are shown; although, visualization is the most important thing in geometry. In geometry courses; by using just only blackboard-chalk and paper-pen-ruler, the teaching is made and with limited number of drawings students' spatial visualization ability is expected to be developed. It is clear enough that this attitude requires to be changed. Thus, it is necessary to provide more appropriate learning environments for students' developing their vision ability of perceiving geometrical shapes and their properties. In this regard, dynamic geometric environments which are made up with the Geometer's Sketchpad create student centered environments where students can explore the properties of the shapes and make connections between them by moving the shapes, changing their forms and making measurements. Therefore, our study that we have realized with dynamic geometry software Geometer's Sketchpad which has been put to use due to the advantages of technology classrooms put into practice
