Kriz yönetimi ve dönüşümcü liderlik

Abstract

Bu çalışma, ilköğretim okulu öğretmenlerinin algılarına göre okul müdürlerinin kriz yönetimi becerileri ve dönüşümcü liderlik düzeyine ilişkin algılarını; bu algılarının bazı değişkenlere göre anlamlı farklılık gösterip-göstermediğini ve kriz yönetme becerileri ile dönüşümcü liderlik puanları arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Betimsel bir çalışma olan araştırmada veri toplamak için üç bölümden oluşan bir anket kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın birinci bölümünde öğretmenlerin bireysel özelliklerine yönelik maddelere, ikinci bölümde müdürlerin kriz yönetim becerilerini gerçekleştirme düzeyine, üçüncü bölümde dönüşümcü liderliği gerçekleştirme düzeyine ilişkin öğretmen görüşlerini belirlemeye yönelik maddelere yer verilmiştir. Araştırma evrenini İstanbul ilindeki 6 ilçeden 207 ilköğretim okulunun 7351 öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya tabakalı örnekleme yöntemiyle 6 ilçeden 23 ilköğretim okulundaki 567 öğretmen alınmıştır. Araştırma 2009-2010 öğretim yılında yapılmıştır. Veri analizlerinde frekans, yüzde (%), aritmetik ortalama (x), standart sapma (Ss), t- testi, Anova ve Pearson Korelosyon Katsayısı teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin, okul müdürlerinin kriz yönetimine ve dönüşümcü liderliğe ilişkin algılarının "Çoğunlukla" şeklinde değerlendirildiği belirlenmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre; cinsiyet, eğitim düzeyi, yaş ve branş değişkenlerine göre ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin, müdürlerinin kriz yönetimini gösterme düzeylerinin değerlendirilmesinde anlamlı bir farklılık yoktur. Öğretmenlerin mesleki kıdem değişkenine göre müdürlerin kriz yönetiminde kriz sonrası dönem boyutu ile dönüşümcü liderlik davranışlarında ilham verici motivasyon, ideal etki ile bireysel etki boyutlarında anlamlı fark görülmüştür. Eğitim düzeyi, yaş ve branş değişkenlerine göre ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin, müdürlerinin dönüşümcü liderlik davranışlarını gösterme düzeylerinin değerlendirilmesinde anlamlı bir farklılık yoktur. Öğretmenlerin kriz yönetme becerilerine ilişkin algılarıyla dönüşümcü liderliğe ilişkin algıları arasında anlamlı, pozitif bir ilişki bulunmaktadır. İlköğretim okulu müdürlerinin dönüşümcü liderlik özelliklerini gösterme düzeyleri arttıkça kriz yönetimi becerileri de artmaktadır. The purpose of this research was to determine primary school teachers' perceptions of the extent of crisis management and transformational leadership applications in their schools, to find out whether teachers' perceptions of crisis management vary according to certain veriables and whether there is a significant relationship between the primary school teachers' perceptions of crisis management applications and their perceptions of transformational leadership in their schools. İn this reearch which is descriptive, it was used a public survey with three parts in order to collect research data. First part of the reseach contains personal perceptions of the teacher and the second part contains items to identify school principles' realization of crisis management and third part contains the matters towards determination of the teachers' opinion about the realization of transformational leadership The sample was selected through stratified sampling method and the data were collected from 7531 teachers in 207 primary schools from 6 cities. From 6 cities in 23 primary schools, 567 teachers were selected. This descriptive study was carried out in 2009-2010 acedemic year. In data analysis frequency, percent% arithmetic average (x) Standard deviation(ss) were computed, t- test, Anova and pearson corelation techniques were used. The results of the study have revealed that teachers are "Mostly" towards their principals' realization of crisis management and of transformational leadership behaviours. According to the results in teachers' assesment of primary school principals' crisis management behaviours, there isn't a significant relationship according to gender, education level, age and branch variable. According to the lenght of service, there have been seen differences in the crisis management after crisis time in principal' transformational leadership behaviours like inspired motivation, ideal effect and indivisual relation. According to the education level- age and branch variables,there isn't any significant relationship in teachers' assesment of primary school principals' level of showing transformational leadership behaviours. On the other hand, it was found that there is a significant positive correlation between the teachers' perceptions of crisis management applications and their perceptions of transformationa leadership. The transformational leadership increases aslongas crisis management level of primary school administrators ancreases.
