1980 sonrası Türk resminde konu ve sembol

Abstract

Bu çalışmada 1980 sonrasından günümüze kadar olan süreçte Türk resim sanatında konu seçimi ve sembol kullanımı sanat yapıtları ve sanatçılar üzerinden incelenmiştir. Tarihsel süreç göz önünde tutularak yapılan bu incelemede öncelikle Türk resim sanatının kökeninde ele alınan konular ve kullanılan semboller, ardından dünyada eş zamanlı gelişmeler ve bu gelişmelerin 1980 sonrası Türk resmine yansımaları incelenmiştir. 1980'li yıllar Türk toplumunun, yeni kültürel kimlik oluşturma sürecinin en yoğun yaşandığı dönem olarak nitelendirilebilir. 20. Yüzyıl'ın sonunda politik ve ideolojik yöntemlerin başarısızlığa uğradığı ve bu yolla yeni arayışlara gidildiği bir dönemdir. Bu dönemde düşünsel ve sanatsal alanda tartışılan postmodernizmin Türk resmini konu ve sembol açısından yeni bir döneme taşımaktadır. Bu anlamda 1980'lerin sonundan itibaren daha yoğun bir şekilde kişisel yaşam öykülerinden, fantezilere, güç, cinsiyet ve kimlik sorunlarına kadar birçok konu, geçmiş ile ilinti kuran fakat günümüz dünyasında anlamını değiştiren farklı semboller ile kullanılmaktadır. Ayrıca geçmişten günümüze değin; sanat tarihçileri, sanat eleştirmenleri, filozoflar ve sanatçılar tarafından en çok sorgulanan kavramlar içinde yer alan "konu" ve "sembol" kavramları kuramsal çerçeve içinde ele alınmıştır. Bu bilgilere dayanarak; çalışma kapsamında benzeşik öğretim yöntemiyle seçilmiş resimler konu ve sembol açısından çözümlenmiştir. In this study, it has been studied on the subject choice and the symbol use in Turkish art works which belong to the term of the beginning 1980s up to our date and their effects on the artists. Firstly the main subjects in the roots of Turkish painting and the symbols used have been investigated by considering historical process. And secondly synchronized improvements from all around the world and their effects o on Turkish paınting are also taken into consideration. The 1980s can be thought as the most influential years on the foundation of the cultural identity of the Turkish people. Following these years, the end of the 20th century is considered as the term that political and the ideological methods have failed and therefore the search of new methods appeared. In this term, postmodernism which is discussed intellectually and artistically has moved Turkish painting into a new era by means of subject and symbol. By this manner, after the end of 1980s, various kind objects spanning many different subjects has been correlated with a wide variety of symbols. In addition to; it has been focused on the subject and the symbol which are the two of the most discussed concepts by art critics, philosophers and art historiographers, by considering the frame of theoretical concepts. In the light of the information obtained from the chosen paintings have been analyzed by means of subject and symbol using homogeneous sampling method.
