SOSYO - EKONOMİK DÖNÜŞÜM SÜRECİNDE ÜNİVERSİTELERİN ROLÜ VE YÖRE HALKININ ÜNİVERSİTE'DEN BEKLENTİLERİ İLE İLGİLİ BİR UYGULAMA

Abstract

Kuruldukları bölgede ekonomik kalkınmayı teşvik eden Üniversiteler aynızamanda toplumun sosyo-kültürel yapısı üzerinde de çeşitli etkilerde bulunmaktadırlar.Üniversiteler, farklı kültürel özelliğe sahip olan öğrencileri ve akademik personeli biraraya getirmekte ve kültürler arasında etkileşimin yaşanmasını sağlamaktadır. Bu süreçüniversitelerin kuruldukları bölgenin sosyo-kültürel yapısında değişimlerin yaşanmasınayol açmaktadır. Üniversitelerin bu önemli rolünden hareketle bu araştırmada, yörehalkının Bayburt Üniversitesi'ne yönelik algı ve beklentilerini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır.Araştırmada veriler anket yöntemi kullanılarak toplanmış ve anketler yüz yüze görüşmeşeklinde uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; Bayburt Üniversitesi'nin şehrin ekonomikhayatına canlılık getirdiği ve yeni işyerlerinin açıldığı, Bayburt'a yapılan yeni yatırımlariçin çekicilik unsuru olduğu, Üniversite'nin her geçen gün geliştiği ve şehrin yaşamkalitesini yükselttiği sonucuna varılmıştır.Universities, promoting economical development of the area they are settled in,also have various effects on the society's socio-cultural structure. Universities gatherstudents and academic personals who have various cultures, and provide cultures withinteraction. This process causes changes in the socio-economical structures of the areaswhere the universities are settled in. From this important role of the universities, it hasbeen aimed with this study to determine the perceptions and expectations of the localcommunity about Bayburt University. The data are collected by questioning method andquestioners are carried out as face to face interviews. In conclusion of the study, it hasbeen found out that Bayburt University has brightened the economical life of the city andnew shops have been opened, it has been a sign of appealingness for new investments, University develops day by day and increases the life standards of the city
