Abstract:
This article aims at analyzing some difficulties of Ash'arite ‘understanding of Godness' in respect of ethics. The Ash'arite school maintains ‘understanding of infinite God' centered on divine power and knowledge. Some ethical difficulties concerning this ‘understanding' are denial of the freedom of the will in the last analyse, incoherency between this denial and the acceptance of the human responsibility and the problem of God's morality. This ‘thought of God' makes life meaningless, makes moral motivation impossible.
