ELEKTRİK VE ELEKTRONİK MÜHENDİSLİĞİNDE MODÜLER TABANDA PROBLEME DAYALI EĞİTİM PROGRAMLARININ YAPILANDIRILMASI

Abstract

Son yıllardaki eğitim çalışmaları göstermiştir ki, bir öğrenme sürecinde öğrencilerinöğrenme çabalarına daha fazla katılması konsantrasyonu arttırmakta ve bunun sonucu olarakdaha etkin bir öğrenme ortamı yaratılabilmektedir. Bu amaçla uygulanan en bilinenyöntemlerden birisi “Probleme Dayalı Eğitim”dir. Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi, Elektrik veElektronik Mühendisliği Bölümü, dünyada giderek kabul görmeye ve çok sayıda üniversitedeuygulanmaya başlanan Probleme Dayalı Eğitim modelini benimseyerek güz 2002 eğitimdönemindeki birinci sınıf öğrencilerinden başlayarak uygulamaya karar vermiştir. Buçalışmada, Probleme dayalı eğitim metotları incelenmiş, bir elektrik ve elektronikmühendisliği eğitim planı önerisi sunulmuştur.Recent studies show that, increasing students' participation in learning process increasesthe concentration of students on the subjects and as a result more effective learning isachieved. One of the well known methods to achieve this purpose is Problem-Based Learning(PBL). Considering the worldwide acceptance of problem-based learning style applied in anincreasing number of universities, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineeringat Dokuz Eylül University has decided to replace its current education system with problembasedlearning starting with the freshman class in Fall 2002. In this paper, problem-basedlearning methods are discussed and a proposal on problem-based electrical and electronicsengineering curriculum is presented.
