John Hick`in uluhiyet anlayışı ışığında Hristiyan teizminin felsefi güçlükleri

Abstract

_x0001_nsanlık tarihi boyunca, erken dönemlerden itibaren din kavramı insan hayatında önemli bir rol oynamıs ve insanlık durumunu etkilemistir. Batı düsüncesinde Aydınlanma çagı ile birlikte Hıristiyanlık ve onun Kutsal Metinleri olan Kitab-ı Mukaddes modern bilimsel metotlar ısıgında bazı elestirel arastırmalara tabi tutulmustur. Bunun sonucu olarak da, temel Hıristiyan ögretileri ve klasik teoloji kavramları baglayıcı gücünü yitirmistir. Bazı temel klasik Hıristiyan teoloji ögretilerine karsı siddetli tenkitler yönelten din felsefecileri ve teologlardan biri de John Hick'tir. Bu tezde, John Hick'in uluhiyet anlayısı ısıgında Hıristiyan teismine yönelttigi elestirileri incelemeyi amaçladık. Hick'in yorumuna göre, Hıristiyanlıkta kabul edilen _x0001_sa'nın sahsında hulul etmis Tanrı kavramı, tarihsel olarak göreceli ve din felsefesi açısından da mecazi olarak anlasılmalıdır. Bu çalısmada, John Hick'in yazılarında teizm, dini tecrübe, dini çogulculuk, dini inançların akliligi ve benzeri felsefi ögretiler incelenmektedir. Bu tezde ayrıca, John Hick'in onun zati olmayan Tanrı kavramı ve elestirel gerçekçi din felsefesi ısıgında geleneksel Hıristiyan teizmine yönelttigi elestiriler tahlil edilmistir. Sonuç olarak da, John Hick'in uluhiyet anlayısı ısıgında Hıristiyan teizminin bazı felsefi güçlükleri oldugu ve savunulamaz göründügü kanıtlanmıstır. In the history of humanity is, the concept of religion played important role in human life since the early periods and has affected human situation. Beginning with Enlightenment period in the Western thought, Christianity and its Religious Scriptures or Bible have been exposed to critic cal researches in the light modern scientific methods. As a result, understandings of the basic dogmas of Christianity and the classical concepts of theology have lost its binding force. John Hick is one of those philosophers of religion and theologians who have raised strong critiques against certain tenets of classical Christian theology. In this dissertation we aim to study John Hick's critique of Christian theism with special reference to concept of divinity. According to his interpretation of the Christian concept of God as incarnated in the figure of Jesus were rendered relative to certain historical period and should be understood metaphorically in John Hick's philosophy of religion. In this study, we have examined the basic concepts of theism, religious experience, and religions pluralism, rationality of religious belief without proof and the similar philosophical doctrines in John Hick's writings. This study also aims to analyze John Hick's criticisms of Christian doctrines in terms of his non-specific concept of God and his critical realist philosophy of religion. In conclusion, we argue that certain doctrines of Christian theism prove to be untenable in the light of Hick's concept of divinity Key Worlds: 1) Theism, 2) Divinity, 3) John Hick, 4) Critical realism, 5) Christian theism.
