I. Sanayi Devrimi'nde teknolojik gelişmenin rolü

Abstract

I. Sanayi Devrimi, dünyada günümüze kadar uzanan derin etkiler bırakmış çok köklü bir dönüşümü ifade etmektedir. 1780?1840 yıllarını kapsayan bir dönemde İngiltere'de meydana gelen tekno-ekonomik gelişmeler, toplumsal, siyasi ve kültürel alanlarda da bir dizi bütüncül ve köklü dönüşüme neden olmuştur. Üstelik bu devrim, sadece İngiltere'de değil, önce Kıta Avrupa'sı ve K. Amerika'ya, sonra tüm dünyaya yayılarak yeni bir dünya sisteminin, sanayi kapitalizminin oluşmasına yol açmıştır.Bu çalışmada; Sanayi Devriminin neden İngiltere'de meydana geldiği, bunu hazırlayan toplumsal ve iktisadi koşulların genel olarak neler olduğu, Sanayi Devrimi öncesi dönemde ne tür teknolojik gelişmelerin meydana geldiği değerlendirildikten sonra; Sanayi Devriminin iktisadi analizi ayrıntılı olarak yapılmış ve Sanayi Devrimini hazırlayan, tetikleyen, süreci doğrudan etkileyen teknolojik gelişmelerin neler olduğu ve hangi koşullara bağlı olarak oluştuğu açıklanmıştır.Bu çalışmanın bir diğer amacı, I. Sanayi Devriminde teknolojik gelişmenin rolünü, olgusal olduğu kadar analitik olarak da ele almaktır. Teknolojik gelişmenin, başta iktisadi olmak üzere, toplumsal, politik ve kültürel alanlar üzerindeki etkileri ve bu alanlardan etkilenmesini karşılıklı nedensellik ilişkisi içinde ve bütüncül bir toplumsal sistem perspektifinden I. Sanayi Devrimi bağlamında değerlendirme çabasına girilmiştir. The 1st Industrial Revolution represents a fundamental transformation which has had a deep impact on the time being throughout the world. Techno-economic developments which emerged in England between 1780-1840 led to a holistic and fundamental transformation regarding the social, political and cultural fields. Moreover, this revolution brought about a new world system, e.g. industrial capitalism, not only in England but also first in the Continent and North America, and then all over the world.In this study, a detailed analysis of the Industrial Revolution was carried out after going through the reasons why Industrial Revolution took place in England initially, the preparatory social and economic conditions and the technological developments prior to the Industrial Revolution. Furthermore, an attempt was made so as to explain the technological developments and the circumstances under which the developments in question emerged.A further aim of this study is to handle the role of technological development in the 1st Industrial Revolution not only factually but also analytically. The influence of technological developments on economic, social, political and cultural fields within the context of the 1st Industrial Revolution were reviewed with regard to correspondingly causal relationship and from a holistic social system perspective.
