Şahika Tekand ve stüdyo oyuncuları (1989 - 2009)

Abstract

Çağdaş tiyatro düşüncesi, tiyatronun işlevini, biçimini, seyirci ile ilişkisini bir kez daha irdelemek, bu sanatı yeni baştan tanımak ve tanımlamak eğiliminde olmuştur.Bu düşüncenin dünyada ve Türkiye'de yaygınlaşması farklı zamanlarda gerçekleşmiştir. Artaud, Grotowski, Meyerhold gibi yönetmenlerin ortaya çıkardıkları yeni sanat anlayışıylatiyatro dünyada kendine yeni bir biçim ve öz bulmuştur. Türkiye' de ise çağdaş tiyatro anlayışını benimseyen ve bu alanda önemli bir yere sahip olan sanatçılardan biri de Şahika Tekand'dır. Şahika TekandDokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Sahne ve Görüntü Sanatları Bölümü Tiyatro Anasanat Dalı Oyunculuk Sanat Dalı'ndan mezun olmuştur. 1984'te tiyatro ve sinema oyunculuğuna başlayan ve üniversitede oyunculuk dersleri veren Şahika Tekand, 1988'de Studio adı altında oyunculuk stüdyosunu kurmuştur. 1990'da kendi tiyatro topluluğu StudioOyuncuları'nı kuran ve "Performatif Sahneleme ve Oyunculuk Yöntemi" adı altında kendi yöntemini geliştiren Tekand, bugüne dek kendi yazdığı yedi oyun da dahil olmak üzere tiyatro oyunları ve pek çok performans yönetmiştir. Topluluğu ile oynadığı, yönettiği ve yazdığı tüm oyunlarla yurtiçi ve yurt dışındapekçok uluslararası festivale davet edilmiştir.Halen StudioOyuncuları'nda sanatsal faaliyetini sürdüren Tekand, oyunculuk stüdyosunda oyuncu ve yönetmenler yetiştirmenin yanısıra çeşitli üniversitelerde dersler vermektedir. She graduated fromthe 9 Eylul University Fine Arts Faculty Department of Theatre/Acting. In 1984 she started her theatre and cinema acting career and taught acting at the University. In 1988 she established an acting studio namedStudio. In 1990 she founded her own theatre assemble, Studio Oyunculari (TheStudioPlayers). She directed several plays and performances including the seven plays shewrote. She developed her own staging and acting method which is called "Performative Staging and Acting". She has been teaching this method in her on going workshops. Withall of the plays written, directed and staged by the Studio Players she was invited to and participated in several national and international festivals. As a director and as an actress, she was awarded by several institutions. Continuing her art engagement at the Studio Players, she trains actors/actresses and directors, teaches at several universities
