İzmir Alsancak Limanı'nın Etki Alanı ve İzmir Kentinin Ekonomik Yapısı ile Bağı

Abstract

İktisadi faaliyetlerin temel altyapı yatırımlarından bir tanesi olan liman yatırımının gerçekleşmesi bulunduğu bölgenin ve onun etki alanındaki birikimin ne ölçüde ticari, katma değer ürün veya sanayi potansiyeline dönüştüğüne bağlıdır. Limanlar sadece bulundukları bölge ve kentin ekonomisi ile etkileşime girmekle kalmayıp, sosyal, kültürel ve mekansal açıdan da kentin karakteristiklerinde önemli izler bırakır. Tarih içerisinde, İzmir kenti ile sahip olduğu limanlar arasında her zaman sosyo-ekonomik açıdan bir etkileşim ola gelmiştir. Bu etkileşim bugün İzmir Alsancak Limanı ile devam etmektedir. Bu çalışmada tezde, limanların etki alanlarının tespiti ile bölgesel ve kentsel ekonomiler üzerindeki etkileri İzmir kenti ve İzmir Alsancak Limanı örneği ile incelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda İzmir Alsancak limanının kullanıcıları analiz edilerek İzmir Alsancak Limanı'nın etki alanı tespit edilmeye çalışılmış; limanın İzmir ekonomisi ile bağı araştırılmıştır. Ports not only interact with the economy of the area and the city they exist in, but also leave important marks in the characteristics of the city in social, cultural and spatial terms. Along the history there has always been a socio-economic interaction between the city of Izmir and the ports it has. This interaction continues today with Izmir Alsancak Port. In this thesis, determination of the ports' hinterland and their importance on regional and urban economies are examined through the example of Izmir city and Izmir Alsancak Port.
