İzmir deki kentsel sorunların üniversite öğrencileri üzerindeki etkisi:Buca örneği

Abstract

Coğrafi şartların uygun olduğu, verimli toprakların ve su kaynaklarının bulunduğu yerler insanların buralarda toplanmasını sağlamıştır. Zaman içerisinde bir bölgede toplanan insanların temel ihtiyaçlarının karşılanması, çevredeki doğal kaynakların kullanılması ve iş bölümü (mesleklerin oluşumu) sayesinde oluşmuştur. Bu şekilde ortaya çıkan kentler; dünya nüfusunun artması ve gelişmelere bağlı olarak nüfusun büyük çoğunluğunu bünyesinde toplamıştır. Kentleşmenin hızlı ve plansız olduğu kentlerde; çarpık kentleşme sorunları (göç, plansız kentleşme, gecekondu), konut, ulaşım, güvenlik, çevre sorunları gibi çözülmesi zor kentsel sorunlar ortaya çıkmıştır. İzmir, çok eski bir tarihte kurulmuş bir liman kentidir. Kent Yunan işgali döneminde yakılması ve 1950'lere kadar ülkenin ekonomik sorunlarının olması nedeniyle planlı bir şekilde büyüyememiştir. 1950'lerden sonraki ekonomik ve sosyal gelişmelere bağlı olarak İzmir çok fazla göç almış, konut alanları ve ekonomik merkezler düzensiz olarak kurulmuştur. Bu nedenle İzmir'de kensel sorunlar önemli bir sorun olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Yapılan çalışmadaki amaç kentleşme sorunlarının, büyük çoğunluğu diğer illerden İzmir'e gelerek farklı yerlerde kalan öğrencilere olan etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen sonuçlara göre, kentsel sorunlar ile ilgili çözüm önerileri yapılmıştır. Araştırma sırasında; TÜİK verilerinden, İ.B.B.nin çalışmalarından, İzmir Çevre İl Müdürlüğünün yayınlarından ve ilgili kaynaklardan yararlanılmıştır. Kentsel sorunların etkisini belirlemek amacıyla üniversite öğrencilerine (500 öğrenci) anket uygulanmıştır. Genel istatistiki bilgiler ve anket verileri, Excel ve SPSS 13.00 programları yardımıyla tablolaştırılıp, analizleri yapılarak yorumlanmıştır. The places where the geographical conditions are suitable and which have sufficient water supplies and a highly fertile soil had ensured people to gather around them. Meeting the fundamental needs of people who gathered around in a field through time had only been possible by the use of the natural resources around and division of labour (also, with the emergence of new occupations). The cities which came up in this way had collected the majority of the population in their structure with relation to the boom in the world population and other factors. In the cities, where the urbanization is fast and unplanned, existed some crucial insoluble problems, such as squattering, housing, transportation, security, immigration, environmental problems and other general urbanization problems. Izmir is a harbour city that was founded many years ago. It couldn't develop systematically because of Greece invasion and demolition during the Independence war and for the financial problems until 1950s. Large number of people immigrated to Izmir after 1950s with the development of economic and social changes and this led to new housing problems as well as randomly scattered financial centers. For this reason, unplanned urbanization problems are still there and facing us in Izmir. The aim of this study is to find out the effects of this unplanned. New solutions are suggested according to the results that are obtained from this research. During this research, data from Turkish Institute of Statistics (TÜİK), Municipality of Izmir (İ.B.B), publications of Head of Izmir Environmental Affairs and other related publications were used. A survey was applied on 500 university students with the purpose of defining the effects of unplanned urbanization and survey outcomes were tabled and assessed with the help of Excel and SPSS 13.00
