Fransızca konuşulan Avrupa Birliği ülkelerindeki Türk gençlerinin Türkçe deyim bilgilerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, günlük dilde en sık kullanılan deyimlerin yurtdışında yaşayan Türk gençleri tarafından ne derece bilindiklerini betimlemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, öncelikle dilbilgisi ve dilbilim bakış açısıyla yapılan farklı deyim tanımları incelenip karşılaştırılmış, tek ve tutarlı bir deyim tanımına ulaşılması hedeflenmiştir. Yapılan tanım ışığında 9 ayrı günlük gazete ve her gazeteden ikişer yazar seçilmiş; toplam 365 makale taranmış, bir deyim sıklığı çalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçları en sık kullanılan deyimleri göstermiş, bunlar arasından en az bilinen deyimler kontrol grubuna uygulanan bir sormacayla belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın son aşamasında ise bu deyimlerden oluşan 40 soruluk bir sormaca, Fransa, İsviçre ve Belçika'da yaşayan Türk gençlerine uygulanmıştır. Sormacanın sonuçları değerlendirilmiş ve katılımcıların Türkçe deyimlere dair bilgi düzeyi betimlenmiştir. The purpose of this study is to describe how well the most commonly used Turkish idiomatic expressions are known by students who have Turkish background and live in French speaking countries. To this end, different definitions of the ‘idiomatic expression' concept which are made with aspect of grammar and linguistics were examined and compared, aimed to reach one and consistent definition. In the light of this definition, we selected 9 different daily newspapers and two writers for each newspaper; overall 365 articles were scanned and a frequency study on idiomatic expressions was carried out. Results of this study showed the most frequently used idiomatic expressions; the least known idiomatic expressions among them are detected with a survey which applied to a control group. On the last step of the study, a survey consists of these idiomatic expressions, was applied to Turkish students who lives in France, Switzerland and Belgium. Results of the survey were evaluated and the knowledge level on Turkish idiomatic expressions of participants was described.
