BULUŞ YOLUYLA ÖĞRENME YÖNTEMİNİN İLKÖĞRETİM ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN GEOMETRİK DÜŞÜNME DÜZEYLERİNE ETKİSİNİN İNCELEMESİ

Abstract

Araştırma, ilköğretim 7. sınıf öğrencilerin geometrik düşünme düzeylerinin geliştirilmesinde buluş yoluyla öğrenme stratejisinin etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Buluş yoluyla öğretimin öğrencilerin geometrik düşünme düzeylerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırma, İzmir ilinde bulunan iki özel ilköğretim okulunda 7. sınıfa devam eden 118 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu öğrencilere geliştirilen "Geometrik Düşünme Düzey Belirleme Testi" ve deney grubunda yer alan öğrencilere buluş yoluyla öğrenme stratejisine göre hazırlanan etkinlikler uygulanmıştır. Deneysel çalışma bulgularına dayanılarak buluş yoluyla öğrenme yaklaşımına göre tasarlanan öğretimde keşfetmeye yönelik etkinliklerin öğrencilerin geometrik düşünme düzeylerini geliştirdiği söylenebilir. This research aims to investigate the effect of the strategy of learning through discovery while developing 7th grade students geometric thinking levels. . It involves experimental pre-test post test model to define the effect of the strategy of learning through discovery to the students' geometric thinking levels. The study covers 118 students attending 7th grades in two different private schools at İzmir. Developed "Geometric Thinking Level Assessment Test" was applied to all students. On the other hand, activities prepared in accordance with the strategy of learning through discovery were applied only to the students in the experimental group. On the bases of the results of experimental study findings it can be stated that the activities which are designed so stat students can make discoveries help students improve their geometric thinking levels.
