Astım Tedavisinde Yeni Bir Tedavi Seçeneği Olarak Monoklonal Antikorlar Ve Klinik Sonuçları

Abstract

Astım dünyada en sık görülen kronik hastalıklardan biri olup, popülasyonun %5'ini etkilemektedir. Bu hastalarda klinik kontrolü sağlamak için en etkili tedavi seçenekleri inhale kortikosteroidlerin ve beta agonistlerin düzenli kullanımıdır. Ancak mevcut tedavilere rağmen tedavi ihtiyacı karşılanmamış halen semptomatik şiddetli astım hastaları bulunmaktadır. Monoklonal antikorlar; şiddetli persistan astımda mevcut tedavi seçeneklerinin artmasını sağlayan alternatif farmakolojik ajanlardır. Bu derlemede şiddetli astımın tedavisinde monoklonal antikor temelli tedaviler gözden geçirilmektedir. Asthma affects 5% of the population, making it one of the most common chronic diseases worldwide. Although the regular use of inhaled corticosteroids and beta agonists are the most effective treatment options to reach clinical control. There is still a group of patients whose asthma remains symptomatic despite the best available treatment. These severe asthmatic patients represent the unmet medical need in asthma. Monoclonal antibodies are alternative pharmacological agents that enhance treatment options for patients with severe persistent asthma. This review provides an overview of present monoclonal antibody based therapies for the treatment of patients with severe asthma.
