Abstract:
Sermaye piyasasına yeni enstrümanların girmesi, gelecekle ilgili bir takım belirsizliklerin bulunması, yatırımcıları portföylerini daha profesyonelce yönetmeye sevk etmiştir. Küçük yatırımcıların kendi imkanları ile optimal bir portföy oluşturmaları, gerek bilgi gerekse finansal açıdan oldukça güçtür. Uzmanlık gerektiren bu konularda yatırım fonlarının önemi artmaktadır. Yatırım fonları, Dünyada ve Türkiye'de hızla büyüyen ve gelişen bir endüstri haline gelmiştir. Bu da yatırım fonlarının performanslarının ölçülmesi konusunu beraberinde getirmiştir. Seçilmiş karşılaştırma ölçütlerine göre daha yüksek getiri oranları sağlanması, yatırımcıların tasarruflarını yatırım fonlarına yönlendirme kararlarında etkili olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye'de faaliyet gösteren, A ve B tipi olmak üzere 6 fon türünden seçilen 60 adet yatırım fonunun, 2005 Ocak-2008 Haziran ayları arasındaki 42 aylık süre zarfında gösterdikleri performansın piyasa portföyünün performansına göre daha yüksek olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla portföy performans ölçüm yöntemlerinden Sharpe, Treynor ve Jensen endeksleri kullanılmıştır. The new instruments introduced to the capital market and the contingents about future have motivated the investors to manage their portfolios more professionally.Bringing out the optimal portfolio with their own sources is hard to achieve for individual investors both in data and also financially. The importance of mutual funds is improving in these fields requiring expertise. Mutual founds industry has been developing rapidly both in Turkey and all around world, which brings up the issue of measuring the performances of these funds. Investors base their decisions about which funds to choose on the returns of the funds that are compared by using selected comparison methods. In this thesis, it was researched whether the performance realised from January 2005 to June 2008 ( during 42 months ) of 60 funds selected from 6 type of Type A and Type B funds operating in Turkey have been higher with the reference to the market portfolio performance.
