Yabancı sermayenin Türkiye pazarındaki durumu ve etkilerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, küresel sermaye kavramı açıklandıktan sonra, ekonomik terminolojideki yatırım kavramı, doğrudan yabancı sermaye yatırım teorileri ve bu yatırımlarının nedenleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Küresel ekonominin aktörleri olan çok uluslu şirketlere ait açıklamalar yapıldıktan sonra doğrudan yatırımların ekonomik etkilerine değinilmiştir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde Türkiye'deki yabancı sermaye yatımları incelenmiştir. Özellikle 1980 sonrası dönemin analiz edildiği bu bölümde, Türkiye'nin doğrudan yatırım çekme potansiyeli, avantajları ve dezavantajları, mevcut yatırımların sektörel dağılımları ve ülkeye daha fazla yatırım çekilmesi için alınması gereken önlemler ve izlenmesi gereken politikalar üzerinde durulmuştur. Üçüncü bölümde ise İstanbul Sanayi Odasın her yıl "Türkiye'nin En Büyük 500 Sanayi kuruluşu" adı altında yayınlamakta olduğu verilerden yararlanılarak yabancı sermaye gelişimi, kamu ve özel sermayeli şirket verirli ile karşılaştırılması ve Türkiye piyasasına etkileri incelenmiştir. The first chapter of this study begins with the defination of "investment" in the economic terminology, global economy. In the following sections, the most important theories of foreign direct investment (FDI) and motives for FDI are presented. The chapter concludes with some data on multinational firms and the economic effects of FDI on both home and host countries. The second chapter analyses FDI Turkey. Turkey's potential for attracting FDI, and its competitive position relative to some other countries in the region is studied. After the sectoral breakdown of FDI in Turkey is analyzed, some suggestions on economic and political measures for increasing the inflow of FDI in to Turkey are made. In the third and final chapter, some economic and financial observations are made using the data from "The 500 Largest Industrial Firms in Turkey" compiled by the İstanbul Chamber of Commerce. The economic performance and financial health of these firms (public, private and foreign capital firms) are compared to find out whether there are any significant differences.
